Venuestar Review If a friendly front bar, great kitchen and couple of pool tables are not good enough for you, the big band room will satisfy. The grungy feel of The Corner, the result of many years of beer spills, adds to its homely character.
Band, bands, bands - that's what The Corner is known for. Many well known Aussie and international acts have played here. Outdoor Area / Beer Garden With trains trundling past for lots of atmosphere, the large and rambling rooftop beer garden is a good one. Get there early if you want a table on a Sunday, as the Corner doesn't accept reservations for this highly sought-after posi. Live Music Venue Band nights (almost every night) can pull a decent crowd. Matt Whiting

Readers' Reviews One of the best and most popular pubs in the area, Richmond's Corner Hotel has hosted so many of Australia's best bands, and indeed a huge number of international acts. Aside from the rockin' band room, the front bar provides a chilled out local pub atmosphere for a variety of punters - the after work drinks crowd, footy lovers, alternative music people, old locals being bar flies and the young and funky. The best thing is, there are no pretentious posers! The beer flows freely, there's plenty of places to cosy up on a couch, eat a meal (and damn those meals are good!), play pool or sit at the bar perusing the street press. During the summer, the rooftop beer garden is not to be missed. A Richmond landmark that exudes a comfortable, friendly atmosphere. Stephanie, Richmond, 08/05
