Venuestar Review Polished floorboards, high ceilings, a tempting menu, a great beer garden and a wraparound bar with ample seating and a largeish range of local and imported beers. The Leveson is trendy and upmarket - not commonplace in North Melbourne, but certainly keeping with the times. Full restaurant facilities cater for a corporate clientele during the daytime, and evenings things get busy with the locals, culminating in the odd Friday bash that throws in the full sound and lighting dancefloor experience. The Leveson has a good emphasis towards sport with its big screen, and live bands might well feature occasionally on the weekend. The daytime feel can be rather sunny, with the white walls providing a bright, light feel. Last but not least, an upstairs function room is offered, too. Outdoor Area / Beer Garden A medium sized beer garden features its own bar and mini waterfall, while also providing a great outdoor setting in which to dine. Julie Whiting

Readers' Reviews The Leveson, tucked in the back streets of North Melbourne is a hidden gem. It is easy to miss if you don't know exactly where to look and one of those stylishly renovated Melbourne pubs yet to be properly rediscovered.
We went there for Friday night after work drinks and to enjoy some live music. In the front bar the crowd was casual, friendly, 18-35s. The restaurant was also buzzing with locals and some suits.
The Leveson is a well sized venue that appears to offer something for everyone - cosy front bar with open fireplaces, a fantastic beer garden out the back, stylish restaurant and a huge function room upstairs.
The Leveson puts on great live acoustic Friday and Saturday nights and we were told that their Sunday sessions with live music playing in the beer garden are not to be missed during spring/summer.
There is a big screen in the fron bar for sports enthusiasts who want to enjoy any big games.
I suggest you go - order from the tapas bar menu and try the Kronenborg on tap - nothing short of sensational!
