Venuestar Review By far the biggest pub in the city, totally taking us by surprise as we discovered it just seemed to go on, and on, and .. then it turned into a club! Don't believe us? The Metro fits about 1800 people, the Exchange Hotel 1400. And it heaves on a Friday night.
First impressions on a Friday are probably of a queue at the door. The next impression will undoubtedly be of a mass of people everywhere, pot glasses in hand, loud music, and everyone having an absolutely great time.
Saturdays are a dedicated Rugby evening during the season, with telecasts shown on the big screen.
You simply haven't done the CBD until you've had a Friday at the Exchange.
