Venuestar Review Busy club where the emphasis is more on drinks all round and picking up, than trying to be upmarket and pricey. The Marquee is the perfect place to forget the rules, squeeze one's self on the dance floor, and have a mad time.
It's a favourite for stag/hens nights, and certainly not the place for couples.
Opening hours wise the Marquee goes LATE and is always a favourite for those finding themselves stranded due to other clubs closing early.
As it is open such long hours, it's hard to predict when there will be a queue or not, but either way the Marquee always pulls a crowd. We've found that we've never had to wait particularly long to get in, though.
Music is classic disco, retro and top 40. Tony Clarke Readers' Reviews A really nice club, good vibes and atmosphere, nice DJ setup - the upstairs room is wicked and usually quite packed - 2 bars at either ends of the room ensures u wont be waiting to long for a drink. Small rooftop deck is good for cooling off/smoko. Eric, Middle Park, 11/08

Readers' Reviews Marquee is in one word: fun. bring a group of single friends and you're in for a great night. the venue itself is nothing exceptional but the music is. If you're into retro, stay downstairs. One warning: it's 90% guys which can give a strange atmosphere. As for the upstairs, it is always packed and deservedly so. The music is a mix of top 40 and house with the odd bit of retro r'n'b thrown in. If you're offered the chance to be on the mailing list, take it! There's always a password for the door for cheap/free entry and drink specials. The staff and the crowd are all really friendly (it's actually really surprising). Bonus points for the upstairs being really well air-conditioned. Erica, Ringwood, 03/08 In a word, single. Thats what you need to be if you go to Marquee. This is not a criticism of the place at all, if your single your in for solid night. With two rooms playing their own music you can pick and choose where you want to be (I recommend upstairs as the podium is larger) and the music you want to hear. The security is really good, the bar staff nice and there are always free drink offers going on. Bring mates and go hard, thats the best way to enjoy Marquee! Chris, Ringwood, 06/07
