Venuestar Review Huge with the Collins Street corporate crowd, Collins Quarter is an upmarket city pub, although still as traditional as you'd like. With a beer garden and plenty of tucked away seating, this is the place the top end of Collins swears by.
Fantastic on a Friday night - nicely packed and very intimate. Our tip is to get in early and secure one of the cosy alcoves, as they tend to go rather fast.
Collins Quarter reigns supreme for a little end-of-week flirting, and fantastic for a mid-week chat about the latest in office politics.
That's the pub part, by the way. Overlooking the beer garden is RA, the exquisite and mysterious champers and fine spirits bar.
RA doesn't have a visible bar at all, as it's strictly cushion service - find a little cluster of cushions and let the pampering begin. Sure it's a little pricey, but you'll be served top shelf spirits with an entire serving ritual to go along with it. Think of it as the gold class of bars, and bear it in mind when you next want to impress your date. Outdoor Area / Beer Garden Collins Quarter's cosy little courtyard is usually one of the first places to fill in the warmer months. It's even got a neat little outside bar, which as you know, is not so common in the city. Simon Woodhouse

Readers' Reviews As soon as I stepped in Collins Quarter I was impressed. But when I was shown the upstairs RA room, I was blown away.
Get comfy and relax. Full table service, and you can check out the action below. Fantastic high ceilings, with all walls being 'windows' that can be opened for the smokers. The furniture is "Wow, so cool!" including bean bag type sofas. Very funky, very classy, great food, great drinks. But don't forget your disposable income. I had my birthday party there and all night received compliments. A great place for a function, a quiet drink with a special someone or small group of friends. Emma, Melbourne, 03/09 Fantastic Ambiance, particularly on a Friday afternoon where myself and many of my colleagues enjoy 1 or 2 beers. Its central location means it is only a short walk from all our respective work places. The open fireplace is great and the bar staff are very friendly. Bruno, Brunswick, 09/04
