Venuestar Review The Perseverance is a bit of a double-act; during evenings popular dinner and drinks patrons fill the place, but come later in the night on weekends, and you'll walk straight into a dark club with a packed dancefloor.
When it's dance time the crowd often isn't your standard Fitzroy grungy type, and more the hip young clubbers that bop away to commercial style tunes.
At the end of the day, though, it's still a pub at heart and is well worth checking out for a nice dinner. Outdoor Area / Beer Garden The Perseverance has a great beer garden which is a great function space - nice and cosy. Tony Clarke

Readers' Reviews Amongst the grunge of Brunswick Street, Perseverance is akin to a glowing jewel.
Walk in here on a Thursday night and you will be treated to free entry, brilliant drinks deals and a very upbeat atmosphere. Patrons tend to be of University age and very laid-back and accepting, everyone is out there for a good time.
With a spacious dance-floor playing a selection of popular dance beats, a pool table, wide selection of drinks at the bar at reasonable prices and a lounge area for people to take time out from dancing, there is something for everyone.
Perseverance provides for all of those who want the club atmosphere without the cover charges, expensive beverages and long queues to get in. Alastair, Parkville, 08/08
