Readers' Reviews it seems like most people hear about barnone by word of mouth. most of them would know that recently there was a slight fire issue. since then the bar has slowly started to rebuild and regulars (like myself) are looking forward to the grand reopening (possibly in spring '11).
it was more than the ultimate in comfort leather couch, the good drinks and hugs from (mike - owner). it not about the jazz lounge lighting, or vintage wall paper. barnone could so easily have been a pretentious place with overpriced drinks. but it couldn't be further.
it was a place you can go everyweek and try something new. there were specials for the temporarily skint (poor), and all sorts of fancy delights for the cashed up. it's a great place to take a date, or just hang with friends. maybe set the challenge to try every beer on the menu, or every cocktail.
there's no age barrier in the crowd. no stigmatism. no judgement. just good times all round.
