Ok guys, pay attention, this is an very important point; the Tom Thumb Irish Pub is actually inside the Matthew Flinders Hotel. From the outside, you wouldn't even know it was there!

The Tom Thumb is one of those big airy places that is full of Irish memorabilia. It's a pub that attracts people of all ages and musical tastes.

There are a number of imported and local beers available as well as stubbies of Jim Beam and Cola, which appear to be hard to find in pubs.

Saturday night is definitely a busy night with music and billiards on offer.

A great local pub to visit if you want a fun night out, but don't want to wander all of the way into the city. Plenty of places to sit and chat or dance as well!

Live Music Venue

Acoustic, Live bands and DJ on different nights. On Saturday's all three are on offer.

Who said "older crowd" has to be over 40s. On Saturday nights the crowd ranges from mid 20s to mid 40s. We all go there to see Scat and listen to the best 70s and 80s in Melbourne and a bit of a perve too.

I wish they'd knock the prices of the drinks down a bit then we wouldn't have to have a few in the car on the way there. We always have a good time when some of the sex starved guys leave us alone, I just want to check out Paul the guitar player "HOT" Johns really nice, sexy but to old for me.
Scats my favourite band in Melbourne and Im glad their not at Chelsea Heights any more.

With reference to the previous posts it looks like Wednesday nights at Tom Thumb could going to turn in to a bit of an 'oldies' night. That's if you recon anyone over the age of 40 is an 'oldie'. :-))

Our 'over 40s' social group (NotaClub) has arrived at Tom Thumb for our weekly Wednesday night 'socialise' from 7:00 pm onwards - from now on.

We've found the staff to be really friendly and helpful - food's O.K and not overly pricey and all of our group, (about 40 people every week so far) - reckon it's a great location and good value.

Other than our group or maybe other private functions, Wednesdays seem to be very quiet and I'd recommend it for an ad-hoc visit, especially if you want a meal and chat with friends.

We're looking to increase our weekly attendance of 'socialisers' to over 100 people every week - so if you'd like to come check us out any Wednesday - DO - from 7 pm. onwards.

You can't miss us - everyone's welcome - the more the merrier.

Drinks on a Friday and Saturday nite are quite reasonable, music is great and it attracts a crowd of all ages....

I have found Friday nite to be more of a sit back, have a few quiet drinks and games of pool nite, but a Saturday nite I've gotten more into a party mood....

Excellent Venue. Thursday nights a bit slow, small crowd, great band Friday nights, much better, young crowd, great perve, good band!

Satuday nights, older crowd, still a reasonable perve, 80s night.

Band and dance floor, separate from the pool tables with music in the background - not the band music!
