Readers' Reviews Once known as the "Gastro" Pub The London coined the phrase in the South Eastern suburbs a few years ago.I have very fond memories of lining up to place my order in a very busy bistro,never disappointed. Recently undergoing a total face lift, this little pub is once again thriving. Although the old Sports bar has moved to downstairs meals are still served and noted for being quick, tasty, no frills and easy on the pocket. A chicken Parma and a pot will satisfy even the hungriest during lunch or dinner. The Bistro once seating up to 180 is now a more comfortable setting in a more confined space Daily specials are fresh and a little different from the standard menu. Judging whats on the board I would say the specials are a mix of Modern Australian and an Asian influence. That said you could be well fed with two courses for under 30. On the menu it is the only one I've seen around that still has the old pub style to it and it is done well. I visited four times before this review once with my parents who are regular patrons and enjoy the seniors meals offered.
on my last visit I ordered Cantonese BBQ Duck on rice with Bokchoi and Broccoli in oyster sauce . Followed by a "Toffi Bannoffi" caramel Banana and Chocolate Cheesecake of the specials and for 28.90 was satisfied.
I recommend this pub for a good old pub meal and good for a quick punt in the TAB which is up to date! Brett, Ormond, 10/07

Readers' Reviews The London is the place to go for a quick parma and pot. The lunch special in the Sports Bar is always popular. The clientele are local, usually there just to put a bet on the TAB. Recommended time to go would be a Friday lunch, when some local suits come in, otherwise anytime you want kick back, relax and play pool. Sean, Caulfield South, 06/05
