Venuestar Review Make it up the two flights of stairs, and there sits Loft. Imagine a large warehouse apartment with flickering candles everywhere. Now add some large, generous couches in the middle with a small bar in one corner.
Venture into the main room, and the tone changes. The room has a dancefloor, DJ area and the bar itself. It's a tried and tested layout, and if you like the music on offer, you'll probably settle in well here for the night.
Music styles are dance, house & electro.
Our tip: get here early and bag that couch. Simon Woodhouse Readers' Reviews A quick scout of the venue revealed two main rooms, the first main dance room had an abundance of couches and private areas, perfect for that 2am heart to heart with a total stranger, or a round of shots with your friends. The DJ desk, staged at the front of the dance floor was open, letting you see exactly what goes into a well produced set of dance; and this was an excellent set! The dancefloor was full, and friendly - not once did we trip over girls bags strategically placed like Wild west circle of wagons, and not once was our smile unreturned. Exciting about our success at finding a new venue, we grabbed a round of well priced drinks (most of them cocktails from an extensive list) and headed to the back room. As all good back rooms should be, this was rocking! More electro and left of middle, but very very cool, and best of all, very very fun. Back here, a completely different feel, with high pitched roof and excellent views over the city giving an exclusive, yet intimate feel to the room.

Readers' Reviews Although Loft can throw a great night, the vibe is very mellow and slow. The DJs are usually great, and there is just something about the LOFT that says: class. Boo, Melbourne, 11/03 The Loft is, in a word, CLASSY. This is definitely where the beautiful people go to .. err .. meet other beautiful people. First impressions are that it's a big dark open space. The Loft is partitioned off on the sides, making little half rooms with bean bag chairs and very low tables. Liz, West Brunswick, 06/03
