Venuestar Review A cosy bar and cafe, Comfortable Chair lives up to its namesake with a very relaxed atmosphere. There are heaps of couches and armchairs to sink into and beaded curtains make each seating area feel like a separate lounge room.
To entertain, there are some vintage coin operated tabletop games to play and a constant supply of newspapers and magazines. The 1950s and 60s paper cuttings plastered on the wall make good reading too - management says they found the old newspapers piled up out the back when they moved in!
We think the chairs here might be a little too comfortable, so it's lucky there are lots of them because there is always a crowd.
Live music features sometimes and there is a great menu of light meals. Outdoor Area / Beer Garden The quaint, sunny beer garden is a favourite and continues the theme from inside of mismatching furniture and quirky touches. The outdoor pool table is a winner. Julie Whiting
