Venuestar Review In a building once known favourably by live band lovers as the Sarah Sands, sits Bridie O'Reilly's Irish Pub. This Bridies has one, spacious level - containing a couple of bars, some cosy booths, an open fireplace, one or more live gig areas for Irish and cover bands, and lots of space to mingle. There is also a kitchen where you can get some hearty pub grub. Outdoor Area / Beer Garden The cluster of chairs and tables outside enables you to enjoy your Guinness and watch the passers by. Live Music Venue A live band graces the stage here most nights of the week. From Monday to Thursday it's generally Irish, though on weekends it could either be DJs the whole night or a cover band. The bands there on Friday and Saturday nights go off! They're always chucking free stuff into the crowd, everyone gets in to it! Good looking, fun loving crowd. Readers' Reviews Great pub, great staff, friendly crowd, mostly young 20s but if you're older you'll still fit in no problems. Many places to sit down with friends, live video screen at times showing popular sporting events, and chance to eat a reasonable meal (evenings), but later on the eating tables and the screen are removed for a night of current soundtracks and a live band. Jimmy, Brunswick, 03/04 Bridie's Brunswick is fun, relaxed, full of atmosphere and generally a top night out. The people are always friendly and everyone is there just to have a craic of a time.
Overall the building itself is quite large and much bigger than some of the other pubs I've visited. I think its best feature is the large dance floor and ease at which you can get to the bars when you really need a pint. But you can't overlook the beer garden as well; too many things to mention about this pub.
A great night out and you won't be sorry you went.
