Venuestar Review The Town Hall Hotel is not your average pub and found on a major corner. It is however, still a traditional pub, not your pub come bar. You wouldn't know it was there unless you live in the area or drive down the quiet end of Bank St South Melbourne (closest cnr Moray).
The Town Hall has a loyal band of locals soaking up old favourites such as Coopers Pale, Carlton and VB, but also offers the more discerned palate a wide varity of imported tap and bottled beers.
Also on offer are fireplaces with comfy lounges surrounding, plasma TVs with Foxtel showing all the major sporting events; a pool table and a variety of board games; and last but not least a large function room.
The Towny indeed has something for everyone. Tony Clarke

Readers' Reviews The Townie has new owners and they have spent some cash on the place too. The good thing is they didn't turn it into some trendy bar with high prices, just a great pub. I do drop in from time to time to have a drink and chat with the locals, I'd suggest dropping in for a drink and saying g'day too. James, South Melbourne, 03/10
