Venuestar Review Make it past the tough door and bound up the stairs to a veritable land of milk and honey, in the form of a happening venue where a sexy scene unfolds late and goes until really late.
Retro glam styling is reflected in period style carpets, 70s porn wallpaper, circular light bulbs and a curved bar and furnishings. A flashing dancefloor at one end is an alluring aspect after a couple of glasses, and plenty of seating is the other option. Either way, it's a great scene to be amongst.

Readers' Reviews I heard this music box was hard to get into but I took my chances and was lucky enough to be pulled in. Basically I think all is sweet gaining entry if you look decent, are not trashed and remain patient and reserved until given the thumbs up. I felt like I was famous when I was pulled from around fifty eager beavers to pay the door chicks a tenner and glide my way up the velvet red stairs with a grin and a hop in my step.
Don't think I've ever seen so many beautiful people in one room at one time. Pretty coloured fish are swimming in boxes mounted on the walls. Bar staff are flat out but I don't wait long; they're fast and quite friendly considering the circumstances (Saturday night, 3.30 am).
Smiles and hot red lights invite me to the dance floor to bop my little heart out to the latest fast beats, suprisingly I have room to move.
A rest on the comfy couches allows me to regain breath and composure and chat to some regulars over a vodka and cranberry; think I'll be here for a few hours yet. Lara, Collingwood, 06/04 One Six One is definitely one of 'those' places you find yourself rolling up to any time after 2am on a Friday or Saturday night. Getting in at this time can be a bit of an ordeal!
Once you're inside and upstairs, you'll find yourself in a retro inspired venue with heaps of comfy couches at one end, booths and a bar in the middle and a 70s dance floor at the other.
