Venuestar Review Location, location, location. Insignia on Flinders, located at the corner of Flinders and King, sports huge windows with view of city life going by.
It's a pub meets bar. The feel is simple, but genuine, with a family-run touch. It's hard to put one's finger on the feel: it doesn't feel commercial, it doesn't feel too upmarket, but it's not sticky-floors either. There's lots of worn-looking wood, and a fish tank adds a touch of cosiness.
Women will feel as comfortable here as men, with the crowd being relaxed and friendly. It's absolutely perfect for your after-work drinks. Simon Woodhouse

Readers' Reviews We dropped in to this place on trip from NZ. This is a great place to relax and have a drink. Nice large leather lounge suites, just like being at home. Clean and nice food. It's not easy to find Hotel/Bubs that you can hear each other talking, this is one. Being Family run they just go that little extra mile. Talked to Dad about his water fall feature in the bar, mum was cooking our meal and there lovely daughter will a smile to die for was hostess behind the bar. What more could you want. Will be back some day soon hopefully.
