Venuestar Review An absolute rarity in the CBD is this simple, old school pub with TAB. We can probably only think of the Elms Family Hotel on Spring as being similar. Be rewarded with a most traditional Melbourne pub: brightly lit, with a long, long bar lovingly decked with a beer-stained barmat.

Readers' Reviews I've has a few beers in this pub a couple of times when visiting Melbourne. It is a ripper of a pub. Once was the Friday arvo/night before the Grand Final and it really had great atmosphere. The other time was on hols and me and the bro in law and father in law had an arvo there...great. TAB great. What makes it different is that you feel like you are in a pub ..an australain pub, not irish, not pommy ...and the beer is Carlton Draught..cold as. I'm going there before the footy next week. Some of Melbourne's cleanest taps and lines means you get real brewery fresh Carlton Draft served at the proper freezing temperature, all year round. Some football memorabilia and various shades of pastel green adorn the walls in what is an otherwise a well lit and friendly beer drinking establishment. Drop in and have a look.
