Venuestar Review A classic Australian Pub, consisting mainly of local people with, friendly service and an old, yet comfortable ambience. Geoff Coley Readers' Reviews I agree with Judy and find that "the working man's bar"tends to thin out when the great sounds of "Einstein's Cowboys" and "The Blues Brothers 11 piece band"kicks in.Many join the growing followings to the Lounge Bar!Keep up the great tunes. Readers' Reviews Great little pub, very easy to get served a drink unlike other pubs in the area. They do a darts night and pool night. They need pub grub and they are starting to invest funds into making the place look more presentable. Definitely worth going for a few beers! Joel, Ascot Vale, 04/11 The Ascot Vale pub is friendly and attracts a local crowd. A working mans pub, it provides great live music is on Fridays and Saturday with no entry fee. Music type is rock from the mid 70s onward. The pub decor is plain and in need of some renovation. It has a beer garden that is comfortable, billiard tables and off street parking. Casual clothes are well suited.
Well worth the visit if you like great music and down to earth locals.
