Venuestar Review We don't know whether the 'e' stands for Elizabeth, electronic, or all of the above, but this funky downstairs venue is more than just an internet cafe. In fact, with comfy couches, dimmed lighting, cool music and a jazzy bar - who needs computers? Okay, okay, some people do - and there are quite a few of the little grey monsters tucked under the stairs. Visitors are able to cruise the net or catch up on e-mails, without feeling as though they are in the school computer lab.
DJs will play from midweek to the weekend, and there are background funky beats playing at other times.
Accessing the net during the day, drinking and hanging out at night - this place has all bases covered, ensuring a good crowd at any time.

Readers' Reviews Looking for a funky, eclectic little bar-lounge to catch up with mates? Or maybe a pitstop between a couple clubs? E Fifty Five is for you. I always make a point of dropping by when I'm in the city, although "dropping by" often becomes a night-long affair. That's not surprising, considering the welcoming vibe in this place. The bar staff are friendly, the clientele are very relaxed and easygoing and the music is varied enough to please anyone, with the DJs playing electronica, RnB and hip hop, reggae and cruisy ambient tunes. The decor has a very uni-student feel, with some pretty funky artwork and some comfy, homily couches. Oh, by the way, make sure you order a Long Island Ice Tea. They're damn potent but damn good!
