Readers' Reviews Fantastic pub if you're looking for somewhere quiet and down to earth. The bistro is mostly original, still has the fancy ceilings and the mahogany bar. Meals are Average sized but pretty good quality and value. Staff are friendly. Alcohol is a bit overpriced in comparison to other pubs, but still reasonable for the area. Close to public transport, and plenty of parking. Jaz, Armadale, 01/12 A great pub with with a very reasonably priced, and decent, menu. Two pool tables with ample room for play, public bar, separate pokies room, two smoking areas, and a restaurant. The pub also has a medium sized TAB at one end of the public bar. Staff are always friendly, and the meals are usually quite good and well proportioned. Used to do a great Wednesday roast special in winter, but are yet to bring this back (Duncan, when are we going to have this back again?!?). Nice and close to the Malvern train station and Glenferrie Road shops. Monty, Malvern, 07/10

Readers' Reviews Good for when you cant be bothered cooking - meals are typically pub style but quality tastes (the wedges are nice and crispy and the chicken wrap is fresh and tasty). An interesting range of things to entertain yourself with - TAB and trivia machines. Staff are always friendly. Erin, Malvern, 04/08 Close to station with TAB. No nightlife. Friendly staff and meals are pub standard and price. Mostly middle aged/older locals but occasionally gets a younger crowd as it is the first pub on Dandenong road after the city. 1 pool table and a golf machine. Good selection of beers. Ron, Caulfield North, 12/04
