Venuestar Review With proud union flags and signage inside, it's not surprising that this small bar is owned and run by the next door ETU (Electrical Trades Union). And it seems that most of its patrons have wandered in from there, to drink, dance, and be merry on the occasions that Comrades is open for business. The venue is a long room with a bar on one side and a courtyard out the back, and hosts live acts from time to time. Julie Whiting

Readers' Reviews The Comrades bar is an earthy, friendly place that is available for functions only. The staff are friendly and the prices reasonable. The Union memorabilia on the walls leaves you in no doubt that the bar is owned an operated by the ETU (Electrical Trades Union) located next door. There is also a lovely little courtyard in the back which is ideal for whiling away balmy evenings with a beer or for a barbeque with friends.
