Venuestar Review Upstairs pool hall with large bar area, and still undeniably popular after all these years. Getting there can be a small challenge; a dark alley and a rather disturbing elevator ride will separate the men from the boys. End of week here will be a loud, musical affair with a medium sized bar section packing in the crowds to a DJ or karaoke. Things are rather dark and dingy, walls black - you might feel as in a nightclub. As expected, the sea of pool tables stretches off as far as the eye can see, however Charlton's bar area is a venue in its own, separate right. Tony Clarke
