Venuestar Review Cruisy bar above the Waterside Hotel that's decked out with lounges & day beds plus a great view of the city and the casino complex. There's an inside bit where DJs might play on weekends, and tapas style food is offered should hunger strike. The picky door staff sadly don't help make it an attractive option for a group meetup.

Readers' Reviews Well, the deck used to be a fantastic place to visit. It was fun, lively and casual. I have been there many times over many years. The other day I went again to meet up with some friends who were already upstairs, but was turned away by the bouncers who told me there was a private party. I protested telling them my friends were up stairs already, I called my friend who came down and finally the bouncers let me in. I got there to find no private functions, but a fairly normal albeit youngish crowd. Chris, Northcote, 12/11 This is a stylish and funky rooftop bar decked out with a Moroccan theme throughout winter and overlooking Flinders St and out to Southbank. It's a great place for drinks after work that tend to go late into the night and seems to attract a lot of banking/finance types and people of various ages. It can get quite squashy but you can always move down to the split section that's full of lounges, a dance floor and conveniently another bar! The entrance to 'The Deck' is a bit hidden down Mercantile Lane and you'll have to climb a few stairs but it is well worth the effort, this has definitely become my winter favourite.
