Venuestar Review Nice little bar with a couple of tables, and the thoughtfulness of a DJ during the busier periods. Decor is brightly wooden, with a slight green tinge. The flooring is cool, and conjured up a Spanish influence. Candles are often out on the tables. Rrose is an excellent spot for a glass of wine and a chat, should a pub not appeal. Sitting around a table on the footpath with a bird's eye view of the action on Errol Street is fun, too.
Outdoor Area / Beer Garden A mini beer garden does indeed exist - it's a very small paved courtyard with enough room for one table! Simon Woodhouse Second Opinion Warm, homely decor make for a great spot for students and locals. Go beyond the main bar and find a cosy nook lined with booths and further still - a quaint courtyard. Readers' Reviews We stumbled across Rrose bar one rainy Sunday afternoon. As soon as we walked in the door we knew we had found somewhere special. Gomez was playing in the background, the bar was warm, the staff greeted us with a friendly "G'Day" and the wine list, while small, still provided us with the necessary choice (the Premium Shiraz on offer was nothing short of spectacular).
Sitting at the long and wide bar made it feel like being at an old friend's house rather than a bar, as did the complimentary bowl of fresh fruit, the intimate "beer garden" and the conversation from the bar staff.
Since that first chance encounter, we have held a 31st birthday party for 30 people and have recommended Rrose to all and sundry. Get down there for a glass of wine, a Czech beer, a Polish vodka.
