Located at the other end of Gertrude St the new owners have fashioned a comfy & relaxed house style setting. You'll find communal booths, a stand up bar, a sly love seat, a swish lounge room, and an atrium & courtyard. Outdoor Area / Beer Garden Enjoy a medium sized outdoor beer garden. Live Music Venue Bands play in an upstairs room most nights a week. Lush Green Readers' Reviews Little suburban bar/pub with a real local Fitzroy feeling. The bar is cosy, warm and comfortable and where the bar staff are inviting and chatty. Readers' Reviews I was looking to book a function in Fitzroy and wanted something better the usual rooms on offer. A friend of mine suggested Gertrudes because she used to go there heaps. I checked it out on the website which had all the info I needed (including a calendar & menu - helpful!). Unfortunately the room was already booked so we ended up having our party in the downstairs bar. The staff were great fun and made sure our full party group had a good night. I've since been back for a drink (very good apple & vanilla martini). It's a very cool, and cosy bar with a great atmosphere have since had many good nights there! Angela, Hawthorn, 12/06 Gertrudes is a cosy welcoming space with great drinks and fantastic, inspired food. (Try the ocean trout filled ravioli.. yum!) Really good for groups whether eating or just drinking. Cool in summer and cosy in winter.
